Modernizing NasoNeb's Brand Content with Lifestyle Photography and Video

connect

project summary

NasoNeb needed to modernize outdated marketing visuals and create cohesive brand content that better connected with their audience. Through strategic planning, styling direction, and a carefully executed production, we created a library of lifestyle imagery and video now used across their Amazon listings, social media, and marketing materials.

PROJECT SUMMARY
Client: NasoNeb
Project: Lifestyle Branding Photography & Instructional Video
Location: Southwestern Ontario
Services: Creative Planning, Production Planning, Lifestyle Photography, Product Video Production
Completed: August 2025

NasoNeb approached us with a challenge that many established companies eventually face. While they already had photos and video content available, much of it was outdated, inconsistent, and no longer aligned with the expectations of modern marketing.

Their existing visuals were a mix of older product imagery, legacy video content, and stock photography. This combination made it difficult to present a clear, cohesive brand image and did not effectively connect with their target audience.

The goal of this project was to create a modern, cohesive library of lifestyle imagery and updated instructional video content that would better represent the brand and support their marketing efforts across web, social media, and advertising.

NasoNeb evaluated several creative vendors before selecting us for the project. While we were not the lowest cost option, our visual style and collaborative planning approach aligned closely with the direction they wanted to take for their brand refresh.
The project also included the production of a product-focused video clip capturing the fine spray produced by the NasoNeb device, filmed at high frame rate to clearly showcase the product in action.

Like many large growing companies, NasoNeb had accumulated a wide range of visual assets over time. However, the content lacked consistency and no longer reflected the quality or positioning of their product.

Some of the key challenges included:
  • Outdated lifestyle images that no longer matched current visual trends
  • A mixture of stock imagery and older photos that created an inconsistent brand identity
  • Instructional video content that felt dated and disconnected from their current marketing
  • Limited flexibility for modern marketing formats such as social media and web campaigns

In today's marketing environment, visual content needs to feel authentic, cohesive, and intentional. When imagery lacks consistency or appears dated, it can undermine trust and reduce the perceived value of a product.

NasoNeb needed a modern visual library that could clearly communicate their brand while connecting with their target audience.

Our approach to this project began with understanding the deeper goals behind the content refresh.

Through discovery calls and planning discussions with the NasoNeb team, we worked to clarify:
  • The brand tone and visual direction
  • Their target audience
  • How the content would be used across marketing channels
  • The types of scenes and environments that would resonate with their audience

From these conversations, we developed a creative brief outlining the vision for both the lifestyle photography and the updated how-to video.
The goal was to create imagery that felt modern, bright, and authentic, showing everyday people experiencing relief and freedom in natural environments.

To guide the shoot, we created a visual moodboard that established the overall aesthetic direction and served as a quick reference point for everyone involved in the production.

We also mapped out the specific deliverables and developed a detailed shoot schedule to ensure the day would run efficiently while capturing the variety of content needed.

STRATEGY & CREATIVE PLANNING

The goal of the shoot was to produce a flexible library of high-quality lifestyle imagery alongside an updated instructional video.

Location Strategy
One of the first major decisions involved selecting the right location for the lifestyle scenes.
The initial plan presented by the marketing team was to source an Airbnb property that could provide the desired home environment for the shoot. While this is a common approach, our experience with similar projects has shown that Airbnb locations often require compromises.

During our search, we encountered several challenges:
  • Spaces that were too small for filming
  • Limited natural light
  • Dated furniture and décor
  • Interiors that did not match the bright, modern aesthetic the brand was aiming for
  • Booking limitations that can increase cost due to needing to book multiple days/nights

Rather than settling for a location that only partially met the creative vision, we recommended pivoting to a different solution. We suggested working with a stylist from our network who could both assist with props and provide access to a home that already aligned with the desired look and feel of the project. This decision significantly improved the visual quality of the environment while also simplifying production logistics.

Styling & Prop Direction
Another area that can dramatically affect the final result of lifestyle imagery is styling and prop selection.

During the planning process, the initial plan from the marketing team was to source props as inexpensively as possible through dollar stores and similar retailers. While this can sometimes work for basic shoots, it often limits the final visual quality of the images. Small details within a scene have a significant impact on the overall aesthetic. Elements such as the colour of a yoga mat, the style of a water bottle, kitchen items like kettles or fresh herbs, wardrobe choices, and even small furniture pieces all contribute to the overall visual story. Even when viewers are not consciously noticing these details, they play an important role in how the image is perceived. Because of this, we recommended bringing in a professional stylist to help guide prop sourcing and wardrobe suggestions. We assisted the NasoNeb team in identifying and connecting with a stylist from our network who could support the production.

This approach provided several advantages. The stylist was able to source higher quality props, ensure colour and styling consistency across scenes, and provide access to items already within their styling toolkit. In addition, the stylist was able to offer access to a home environment that closely matched the visual direction of the shoot. By investing in thoughtful styling and location choices, we were able to elevate the overall quality and cohesion of the final imagery.

Lifestyle Photography
For the photography portion of the shoot, we focused on creating bright, natural images that felt authentic and relatable.
The chosen location provided strong natural light throughout the day, which helped establish the overall tone of the imagery. However, interior environments rarely provide enough light on their own to produce consistently clean and professional results.
To maintain a natural look while ensuring reliable lighting, we used a combination of constant lighting and flash.

This approach allowed us to:
  1. Maintain a natural window-lit appearance
  2. Work efficiently throughout the shoot
  3. Ensure consistent image quality across multiple scenes and lighting situations

We also incorporated practical lighting such as lamps within the environment to introduce warmth and colour contrast while keeping the overall aesthetic grounded in natural light. A variety of lenses were used to capture both wide environmental shots and tighter product-focused images. This created a flexible mix of imagery that allows the client to highlight the product itself while also showing it within a broader lifestyle context.

How-To Video Production
In addition to the lifestyle photography, the project included the creation of an updated instructional video demonstrating how to use the product. For this portion of the project, clarity and accessibility were the primary goals. The video was designed to be clean, easy to follow, and visually engaging. To achieve this, we structured the shot list around primarily tripod-based shots to ensure stability and clarity.

We captured a combination of:
  • Wider framing to establish the environment
  • Tighter detail shots to clearly demonstrate each step of the process

This combination helps maintain viewer interest while ensuring the instructional content remains easy to understand.

Instructional Video Lighting
For the instructional portion of the video, our goal was to create bright, clean lighting that clearly highlighted the product and the demonstration process. We used multiple video lights to create even illumination across the subject, ensuring that each step of the demonstration remained easy to see and understand. A small backlight was also added to help separate the subject from the background and give the scene a polished, professional look. This clean and simple lighting approach helped ensure the video felt modern, professional, and easy for viewers to follow.

Product Spray Detail Video
In addition to the instructional video, we also produced a short product-focused clip highlighting the spray produced by the NasoNeb device. Capturing this effect clearly on camera required careful lighting placement to illuminate the fine droplets produced by the spray. Multiple lights were positioned to create even illumination on the subject while allowing the droplets to catch the light and remain visible on camera. The clip was recorded at 60 frames per second so the footage could be slowed down during editing. This allowed the spray pattern to be clearly visible while maintaining a smooth and cinematic motion.
This type of product-focused visual can be particularly effective for marketing and promotional content, as it allows viewers to clearly see how the product functions.

PRODUCTION APPROACH

At the end of the project, NasoNeb received a comprehensive library of visual assets designed to support their marketing efforts across multiple platforms.

Deliverables included:
  1. A curated library of lifestyle branding images
  2. Product interaction imagery within real-life environments
  3. Vertical and horizontal image formats for flexible marketing use
  4. An updated how-to instructional video

These assets provide the marketing team with a versatile bank of content that can be used across their website, social media channels, and other promotional materials.

The final result was a cohesive library of modern, high-quality content that better represents the NasoNeb brand and connects more effectively with their target audience.

Instead of relying on a mixture of outdated visuals and stock imagery, the team now has a consistent set of on-brand assets that can support their marketing across a variety of platforms.

By investing time in thoughtful planning and creative direction before the shoot, we were able to maximize the value of the production day and ensure the final deliverables provided long-term flexibility for the brand.

Several strategic decisions helped ensure the success of this project.
First, investing time in planning allowed the team to clearly define the visual direction before production began. By developing a creative brief, moodboard, and detailed shoot plan, we ensured the entire production day was focused and efficient.

Second, careful attention to location and styling played a major role in elevating the final visuals. Rather than settling for a generic rental location or inexpensive props, we recommended working with a stylist and selecting a location that matched the desired aesthetic. This allowed every scene to feel intentional and cohesive.

Finally, the production approach focused on versatility. By capturing a variety of wide and tight images, along with both horizontal and vertical compositions, the NasoNeb team received a library of assets that can be used across many different marketing platforms. These decisions helped ensure the final content would remain useful and relevant long after the shoot itself.

Planning Makes The Difference
High quality commercial content rarely happens by accident. Many of the most important decisions in this project were made long before the camera was turned on. From location strategy and styling recommendations to lighting design and shot planning, careful preparation ensured the production day ran smoothly and that the final visuals aligned with the brand's goals. This planning process allowed the NasoNeb team to walk away with a versatile library of content that continues to support their marketing months after the shoot.

related Project: Product photography

In addition to the lifestyle photography and video production, this project also included a separate product photography shoot to refresh NasoNeb’s ecommerce imagery.
While the lifestyle content focused on showing the product in real-world use, the product photography focused on clean white-background images designed for ecommerce listings and product pages.
Together, these projects created a complete visual library that NasoNeb can use across their website, Amazon listings, marketing materials, and social media.
